Relaxation and enjoyment directly in my hotel in Barcelona with the Wave Restaurant. I chose the stylish and trendy W Hotel for my short stay in Barcelona. After a long day in Barcelona including a visit to the market, I just wanted to enjoy the evening in an uncomplicated way and go out to eat. It was obvious to choose one the Wave Restaurant in the hotel and since I was in the mood for local or Mediterranean food.

A view over the bay with the long sandy beach and comfortable seating, as I love to sit in small compartments or booths as already in the Skirt restaurant in Singapore. On a Tuesday evening, the hotel restaurant was well visited by groups, business people, families, but also young and hip locals. Plus, of course, tourists from all over the world, like me. It seemed like a perfect place for me – busy but not too loud.

Menu at Wave Restaurant Barcelona

At WAVE Restaurant Barcelona, you’ll find a limited menu, with enough choices on two sides and great opportunities to share dishes directly with friends, such as a selection of tapas, gambas, pata negra, or the hummus and falafel I chose.

For starters, there was a choice of smoked cod , shrimp, lamb and for example the lobster and avocado rolls which turned out to be absolutely delicious.

My chosen main courses was the Tuna Ratatouille and Rosemary Potatoes Rosabelle, as well as Raviolacci Pasta stuffed with Chestnuts with Mediterranean Sauce and Roasted Mushrooms.

What struck me personally at WAVE Restaurant Barcelona is the extremely friendly service and good timing between courses. Neither too short nor too long, the sense was just perfect for me. I like it when the service is friendly and attentive.

Conclusion – Wave Restaurant Barcelona W Hotel

If you compare the prices of WAVE restaurant with other local restaurants in Barcelona and surroundings, the prices are really very fair especially considering the great service. Unfortunately, I have had other experiences with the service in similar restaurants in Barcelona. The atmosphere in the W Hotel is not characterized by listlessness, but by a relaxed vacation feeling and style.

For the evening I can recommend you to drink a cocktail in the ECLIPSE Club or directly on the beach in the SALT Bar. Even if you don’t stay at the W Hotel in Barcelona, you can combine a visit to the famous landmark of the city with a visit to the restaurants.
